About Us

In 1890 the effort that marked the beginning of what later led to the organization of First Christian Church in Webb City, Missouri was led by Mrs. C. R. Chinn, Sr. who started a prayer meeting in her home.  This prayer meeting brought together seven faithful members who began to work toward the organization of a church. 

First Christian Church of Webb City has been blessed with many faithful servants, and continues to have those who will serve year-after-year.  Sound biblical preaching is enhanced by those who lead in a meaningful song service, serve at the table, are faithful in their giving and pray daily for the church family.  Outside of the regular services, the church has those who visit the sick, the shut-ins, show benevolent hand to those in need and do it all in the name of Christ and to His glory.

What singles First Christian out to many is the strong family spirit felt throughout the congregation.  The people strive to be friendly to those who are new and show them a warm welcome.  We have a heart for you and missions as well as the community.
